Steven A. Waterkotte

Steven Waterkotte is a Managing Partner and founding member of Henderson & Waterkotte, P.C. Mr. Waterkotte was born and raised in St. Louis. He graduated from Vianney High School in Kirkwood, Missouri. After high school, Mr. Waterkotte attended Webster University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in both English and Education. While attending Webster University, Mr. Waterkotte excelled as a NCAA student-athlete as a member of the men’s basketball team for four years while earning all-conference honors.

Mr. Waterkotte obtained his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law where he graduated in the top-third of his class. During law school, he received several awards, including an award given to the top trial advocate of his class. While in law school, Mr. Waterkotte interned at the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office. Additionally, during law school, Mr. Waterkotte worked as a law clerk for a prominent personal injury firm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

After law school, Mr. Waterkotte began his legal career at The Schnaare Law Firm, P.C. in Hillsboro, Missouri. As an associate attorney at The Schnaare Law Firm, P.C., Mr. Waterkotte represented clients in both criminal and civil cases. During his time at The Schnaare Law Firm, P.C., Mr. Waterkotte had an active trial practice and obtained numerous trial victories and successful settlements. He has also appeared before the Supreme Court of Missouri in which he successfully appealed a case to the state’s highest court.

As a Managing Partner of Henderson & Waterkotte, P.C., Mr. Waterkotte focuses his practice on all areas of personal injury and criminal defense. He represents injury victims in civil lawsuits and defends the rights of the accused in criminal cases.

In his free time, Mr. Waterkotte enjoys spending time with his wife, Maghen, and their two dogs. He is an avid fan of Mizzou football and basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoys golfing, watching and playing sports, and reading.
